Our audience is primarily parish catechists and Catholic school teachers. Therefore, articles submitted for publication should deal with topics of specific interest to volunteer or paid religion teachers. Articles of a highly technical or theological nature would not generally be of interest to RTJ's readers.

If possible, draw from your own experience in teaching or directing a religious education class or program and offer at least two suggested activities that help the teacher or catechist teach the material.

Your name, address, and phone number should be on the first page of your manuscript. All pages should be numbered. Please give each article or column you write a title, and if you have an idea for a two-line summary or key idea that appears just below the title, please include it as well.

Articles should be to the point and limited to a maximum of 1000 words. We also accept shorter articles. Please include a one to two line bio. Feel free to send photos with your manuscript in electronic format only please.

Please allow only one space between sentences. Do not add paragraph indentations. Skip a line between paragraphs and keep all type flush left, ragged right. Please do not: type in all capital letters, or use "designer" fonts. You may use bold or italics, but not underlining.
